Ako Koara (Japanese: 胡荒 亜子 Koara Ako) is a figure skating athlete from Starfox FSC. She is first introduced as a seeded skater for the All-Japan Novice Championship the winner of the Tokyo Block Tournament.

Story

Ako has been competing alongside Hikaru Kamisaki and Suzu Kamoto since their Novice B days.

She first appears in the story as a seeded skater and the winner of the Tokyo Block Tournament, where she scores 90.44. Later at the All-Japan Novice, Ako delivers a flawless program that includes a Triple Axel, which she trained with the help of Kakeru Uobuchi. Her performances scores 110.40 and places her third, behind Hikaru and Suzu.

While her fellow competitor Inori Yuitsuka fails to surpass her score, Ako notices that Inori is the first ever skater Hikaru has bothered to watch from the audience. Recognizing that Hikaru sees something special in her, Ako makes it her goal to beat Inori at a training camp in Osaka the next year. Inori and Hikaru have an awkward first encounter at camp, prompting the girls to try to keep them apart. However, by the end of the camp, Inori only receives more of Hikaru's attention. This leaves Ako frustrated, wondering what she's missing in order to be special until Suzu steps in to console her.

Later that year, Hikaru makes the unexpected decision to transfer to Starfox FSC. Ako is overjoyed, feeling as if her dream has come true, and looks forward to practicing together. She later appears again at the All-Japan Junior.
