Quadruple Salchow (Japanese: 4回転サルコウ Yonkaiten Sarukou) is the thirty-fourth chapter of the Medalist manga.

Characters[]

Story[]

Main Kobuta is currently on the ice, and only five minutes remain until Inori's turn. From the audience, Yoh observes that Main has upgraded her Triple Flip into a combo, and vividly describes what executing a combo entails to Koichi, who then turns to Yudai for further explanations.

CH34 Inori's Turn

Inori steps on the ice for warm-up while the judges tally Main's score. When her score of 81.02 is announced, Inori once again clutches onto Tsukasa's hoodie strings. Tsukasa assures Inori that they've fully prepared, and she has the power to change her destiny and choose which medal she'll earn. Inori declares she'll take the gold, and sets off for center stage.

CH34 4S

Inori starts off demonstrating remarkable speed and edge control, going even faster than Hikaru. During her first jump, she turns her Quad Salchow into a combo by adding a Double Toe Loop, surprising the audience. On top of this, she executes a second Quad Salchow on its own for her second jump, steadily closing in on Hikaru's base score.

Her next jump is a Triple Lutz, which she had only nailed down a few days ago. Inori had requested that it be added to her program if she could land it during the five-minute practice, replacing the original 2Lz2Lz. However, Inori falls during the attempt.
